本院將於2010年11月5 、6日﹝星期五、六﹞假 Gateway Theatre﹝列治文嘉藝劇院﹞隆重舉辦大型民族舞蹈展演『舞之魂2010』向加拿大人民介紹中國文化之美, 為二十週年賀慶, 為多元文化增添一隻奇苑.

 由著名青年舞蹈家楊楊小姐領導獲得第九屆中國桃李盃舞蹈比賽多個個人及集體優秀表演獎和北美國際舞蹈比賽冠軍盃的精英舞者:孫青青, 劉冠賢, 黃心穎, 蔡爍, 侯曉雙, 李雅倫, 陳家賢, 劉佩賢等百餘名學生, 隆重推出大型傣族舞劇“孔雀公主”, 此舞劇是根據記載在2000多年前的中國雲南省西雙版納傣族貝葉經上一個動人的愛情故事改編, 情節浪漫,編排新穎, 場面好大, 是首次在北美洲上演, 同時會展出新舞碼: 『醉』,『大花轎』,『跳動, 拉薩』, 『草原, 我的家』, 『哈薩克姑娘們』,『春舞情』, 『小格格』及部份獲獎舞蹈片段, 更有20年優秀代表作品回顧展, 這將是一場民族風情濃郁, 現代意識強烈, 時而柔情萬千, 時而豪邁奔放的舞蹈勝宴。

演出需製作海報數百份及節目單兩千份，將雲集一千五百餘名觀眾，提升海外舞蹈藝術水準，同心協力推動中華民族文化在海外之擴展, 敬盼公司、社團、個人及傳媒贊助.

【傣族民族舞剧《孔雀公主》中.英文介紹】

The Cindy Yang Dance Academy of Canada will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with two dance performances at Gateway Theatre on Nov. 5th and 6th. The Dance Academy was started in 1990 to provide Canadian youth with an opportunity to learn Chinese Minority dances.  Through their dance performances, the lifestyle and culture of some of the 56 Ethnic Minorities who live in China today is introduced to the North American audience.  Many of these Ethnic Minorities have little or no exposure outside of China.

The Academy has over 100 students and many of the students have won prestigious awards in international dance competitions.  Last year, the students represented Canada at the prestigious Taoli Cup Dance Competition in Shenyang, China. They received eight awards including a “Best Choreographer Award”.  The Academy has also been invited to perform in different parts of Canada, USA and Asia.  These performances were well received and enjoyed by the audience.  For more information about our dance studio, please visit our website: www.cindyyangdance.com.

 For this very special year 2010, to commemorate and celebrate the 20^th anniversary of the Cindy Yang Dance Academy of Canada, Ms. Yang Yang, the Principal Instructor and Assistance Artistic Director has choreographed and directed two new dance productions. The first production took place in June and was entitled “Dance Dreams”-- a special solo performance by her student, Ms. Lora Sun accompanied by fellow students from the Cindy Yang Dance Academy.   In November, Yang Yang`s newly choreographed dance drama "Peacock Princess – A Love Story" will be performed by the Cindy Yang Dance Academy students in the Soul of Dance 2010 anniversary gala performance.

A special anniversary souvenir program will be printed and distributed during the November Gala dance performance. Approximately fifteen hundred copies will be distributed.
